THIS CLASS TAKES PLACE ON 2 DAYS.  YOU MUST ATTEND BOTH DAYS TO COMPLETE THE CLASS.

January 29, 2020     6pm - 10pm

February 1, 2020     8am - 3:30pm


NO LIVE AMMUNITION IN THE CLASSROOM

Instructors: AVGC Training Team 

This course includes classroom discussion and practical range time learning how to shoot shotguns at a moving target.  Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling, shotgun parts and operation, shotgun shell components, shell malfunction, shooting fundamentals, care and cleaning of your shotgun.  Students will receive the NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting book, NRA Gun Safety Rules card, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet.  There is a Basics of Shotgun Shooting examination and upon successful completion, a NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting certificate.  

Required and Recommended Supplies:  Adequate eye and hearing protection.  It is recommended that you wear hearing protection that fits inside the ears.  4 boxes of 12 or 20 gauge factory ammunition (NO RE-LOADS).  Blue or black pen, red pen, pencil, highlighter, and a notepad for note taking, snacks and non-alcoholic beverage of your choice.  Snacks, soda and water are available to purchase for 50 cents each.  You may want to bring a sack lunch for Saturday’s class.  There is a microwave available to use.  Closed toed shoes are required.
