In 2011 Lora Thomas as the Douglas County Coroner pioneered the idea of public events to explain death investigation. This company continues the events. When Lora Thomas was campaigning for Douglas County Coroner in 2010, she realized that the public did not understand the work of the coroner. Shows like CSI and NCIS were popular but were they real? Ms. Thomas vowed that when she won the election, she would provide educational events about what the coroner really did.
