Haitian Educational Initiatives

Keep up with the latest news about our children, our partners and our programs at www.haitied.org It only costs $150 per year to send a child to school in Jacmel. This includes the cost of tuition fees, uniforms, textbooks, learning materials, backpacks and shoes. HEI currently supports two Haitian foundations: Cercles Amis des Enfants en Situation Difficile (CASED) which serves 100 children in urban Jacmel, and Fondation Jean Bellande Joseph, which serves 60 children in rural areas outside Jacmel. HEI also functions as a clearinghouse for other foundations working to promote education in Haiti. HEI personally interviews all recipients and supervises the distribution of donations so that we can report firsthand to our donors on the results achieved by our efforts.
