ATTENTION: Facebook doesn't allow me to go all the way to 2042 on the dates :P. ---- ---- ---- ---- On April 30, 1992, the NICKELODEON TIME CAPSULE WAS SEALED AND BURIED AT NICKELODEON STUDIOS IN ORLANDO, Florida. It will remained sealed for 50, set to be opened on April 30, 2042 for the new generation of children. Kids voted for items they deemed important enough at the time to be buried in the CAPSULE, including: Piece of the Berlin Wall Roller Blades Nicktoons T-shirt Barbie Doll Hostess Twinkies Pump Sneakers Skateboard Bubble Gum Lead Pencils Baseball Gameboy Blossom "whoa!" ballcap Gak Photos of things to big to put in CAPSULE: bicycle, trains, cars, politicians, celebrities, etc. Books World Atlas History Book Phone Book Book of Endangered Species Week of 4.30.92 TV Guide Comic Book Music MC Hammer CD Michael Jackson CD Movies Home Alone VHS Back to the Future VHS Video of Time CAPSULE CEREMONY W/ Hand-Held Recorder News Reports from Desert Storm, AIDS Crisis, End of the Soviet Union as well as copies on NICKELODEON IDENTS/bumpers that aired on the Network at the time; these bumpers are however available for viewing on YouTube.
