Faith in Action - Bloomington/Normal

An interfaith non-profit ministry coordinating volunteers to provide services at no charge to area seniors to help them remain at home. See www.bnfia.org. for details. In order to receive service, there must be an in-home done assessment with an assessment volunteer to get in our system. Once they are approved for services, we require one week notice for services. Our volunteers provide free rides to medical appointments and grocery shopping, friendly visiting, reassuring phone calls, and light home maintenance. All services are for those 60 and older living in Bloomington, Normal, Heyworth, Hudson or Towanda. Volunteers are used to provide direct service to seniors. In addition, volunteers also help with service coordination, fund raising, etc.
