This course will explore the fascinating world of herbal medicine,
delving into the history, science, and practical applications of
PLANTS USED FOR HEALING. We will examine the medicinal properties of
safe and readily available PLANTS, learn about safe preparation
methods for herbal remedies, and explore the cultural and historical
significance of herbal traditions. The course will emphasize a
holistic approach to wellness, encouraging participants to understand
the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, and to cultivate a
deeper connection with nature and the HEALING POWER OF PLANTS. To
conclude our studies, we will make an herbal tea blend to support our
immune health for the fall/winter months. Each student will be making
an herbal tea blend with herbs that I source from my garden and/or
from Fare Share Coop in Norway, Maine. Additionally, we will be
bringing our tea blends home in a mason jar which I will purchase for
each student in advance.Event reminder
