5th Annual Double Z Farm Dinner: Saturday, August 25, 2017 @ 5
p.m. a Farm to Table production of Double Z Land & Livestock and
Rustic Provisions of Fish Bones American Grill Join us for the fifth
annual Double Z Farm Dinner, a 6-course culinary adventure
that showcases the best of what we offer at the ranch. We have been
growing all season with this dinner in mind and will include a few
other locally-sourced items to complete the meal and introduce you to
our community of Maine growers. Summer Gazpacho Shooter, dollop of
chive espuma Cold River Cured Gravlax, True North salmon, soda bread,
dill cream and roasted radish salad Macintosh Smoked Chicken,
cider-brined natural chicken, roasted fennel & carrots, apple
vinaigrette Katahdin Lamb Shawarma, herb pita, roasted corn &
chickpeas, Moonflower pea shoots, red wine pickled pears & tzaziki
Braised Devon-Angus Cross Oxtail, wild mushrooms, sweet 100's,
watercress, mashed garlic white beans and natural jus. Wild Maine
Blueberry & Lemon Curd Tart with chantilly cream Complimentary wine
paired with each course This is a rain or shine event. Weather
permitting, we will dine al fresco in our Upper Street field with
beautiful hill and pasture views. Seating is limited and we are

a dash of learning to feed the mind, while pleasing the palate, and
nourishing the body. We will be joined by Robert Bernheim, PHD,
Assistant Professor of History, University Of Maine – Augusta; and
Kristy Townsend, PHD, Assistant Professor of Neurobiology in the
School of Biology and Ecology, and the Graduate School of Biomedical
Science and Engineering (GSBSE). We are looking forward to having them
share their research and perspectives on food.
