Greater Baltimore Veterinary Medical Association - GBVMA

The GBVMA is a non-profit, member organization established in 1955 to provide the highest quality continuing education to the veterinary community. Location All GBVMA meetings are held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Baltimore North - Pikesville located just inside the Baltimore Beltway (695) at exit 20 S., Resiterstown Rd., on the right-hand side. Time Meetings begin promptly at 9 am with a break at 10:15 am, lunch (on your own) from noon to 1:15 pm, another break at 2:45 pm, and conclude around 4:15 pm. Inclement Weather In the event of inclement weather, please call the DoubleTree Pikesville at 410-653-1100 or check this website for cancellation information. Meetings cancelled due to inclement weather are not rescheduled. CE Credits Each meeting is divided into an am and pm session. Attendees receive three CE credits per session for a possible total of six CE credits per meeting. To ensure that CE credit is properly assigned, attendees must check-in at the reception desk in the morning and again after lunch. CE Certificates CE certificates are mailed out annually in May. Remember to keep your mailing address current. CE certificates for group members are mailed to the member at the registered hospital address. The objective of the GBVMA is “to do all things necessary and desirable to further high standards of care in the treatment of animals and continuing standards of excellence in the professional training and continuing education of doctors of veterinary medicine.” (GBVMA Constitution Article II, Sec 1, P 4)
