George Frideric Handel composed the Messiah oratorio in 1741, with
words taken from the King James Bible by Charles Jennings. Seen
globally as a masterpiece of sacred musical literature, it has been
performed countless times since the first performance in Dublin,
Ireland on 13 April 1742. The piece is broken into 3 parts, comprising
the birth, sacrifice, death, resurrection, and glory of Jesus Christ.
We hope to see you there!
