Ostfriesen Genealogical Society Of America

The genealogy organization for anyone with ancestors from Ostfriesland or an interest in Ostfriesland is welcome. OGSA was organized as the Ostfriesen Genealogical Society of MN in 1998. The name was later changed to better reflect the interests of our members from all over the world - not just Minnesota. A newsletter of the Ostfriesen Genealogical Society of America is published four times a year. Conferences are held every other year with the next one to be held in 2018. One of our main accomplishments have been translating books on Ostfriesen history into English. We also maintain an emigration database which contains over 22,000 names. It is located on our website and is available for a one time fee.
