TITLE: INTRODUCTION TO BIOMIMICRY
SESSION DESCRIPTION:
The practice and process of Biomimicry is quickly emerging as an
important tool for businesses who need to innovate and create more
sustainable products and the solutions for a changing marketplace.
Combining Human Centered Design and Biomimicry to create life friendly
solutions is where we need to be headed as designers and product
developers. The combination of these two disciplines allows us to
create solutions that fit into a circular economy and a way of
designing that is much more resilient and sustainable. Denny Royal,
Principal at Azul Seven will talk about the combination of Biomimicry
and Human Centered Design and what the emerging combination of these
disciplines might look like.
KEY TAKE AWAYS:
* Basic understanding of biomimicry.
* Understanding of how biomimicry has been applied as an innovation
framework.
* Understand how the combined disciplines of HCD and Biomimicry
create better solutions.
