Pedro Reyes and Miranda Viscoli in Conversation

As part of the opening weekend of PEDRO REYES: DIRECT ACTION, SITE SANTA FE presents a CONVERSATION BETWEEN ARTIST PEDRO REYES AND MIRANDA VISCOLI, president of New Mexicans to Prevent Gun Violence and founder of Guns to Gardens, a gun buyback program rooted in New Mexico. REYES AND VISOLI WILL DISCUSS THE POWER OF TRANSFORMING DEADLY MATERIALS INTO SOMETHING LIFE-giving through their experience working with community and law enforcement to decommission guns, planting trees, and creating musical instruments from gun parts.     Pedro Reyes: DIRECT ACTION On view through May 15, 2023 DIRECT ACTION is a solo exhibition by Mexican artist Pedro Reyes. Celebrated for his large-scale, immersive, sculptural projects bridging aesthetic research and social practice, Reyes’ work propose playful, multimedia solutions to social and political problems.
