Weaving 101 (4 Week) - Brooklyn, NY 2025

DATES: May 21, 28, Jun 4, 11 Instructor: Brendan Kenny Learn how to weave cloth on a floor loom! In this 12 hour course, students will learn the principles of hand-weaving on a 4 harness floor loom, including how to wind your own warp, dress the loom, and explore basic weave structures— plain weave, basket weave, ribs and twills. -- Our classes are designed to focus on a learned skill rather than a final product. At TAC, our mission is to provide skills and knowledge for a lifetime! All materials for sample making and learning the technique are included. Any additional materials will need to be supplied by the student based on their vision. 4 Week students have access to Open Studio time for free during the class weeks and for up to a week after the class to put their new knowledge to practice.
