Following its sold-out 2025 run at NYC’s legendary
the critically acclaimed dark comedy
extends for the third time from May 1-June 6. In
“HardLove,”
a volatile late-night encounter fueled by booze and magnetic attraction forces two strangers to confront their fears, desires, and the fragile lines between connection and destruction. The American/Turkish production is adapted by Esin İleri and Miray Beşli from the original Turkish play by Anıl Can Beydilli, and features Miray Beşli and Chandler Stephenson. Directed by Jee Duman.
Through elegant, stylized choreography,
“HardLove”
introduces audiences to ChiChi (Miray Beşli), a raw, free spirit with a wild, fierce heart and Theodore (Chandler Stephenson), the epitome of a well-mannered, intellectual who values order and structure. After stumbling into Teddy’s apartment blackout drunk, their initial fumbling attempts at a hookup quickly dissolve, exposing vastly different expectations of intimacy and connection. Can two people navigate different wavelengths to find common ground, or will their wild clash lead to emotional wreckage?
“It’s not at all hard to love ‘HardLove!’ One fantastic, funny hour.”
“Flawless! Blurs lines between intimacy and performance, comfort and risk, what is normal and what is considered deviant.”
“HardLove is one horny show. A very horny show. And in that lies its biggest strength. Incredibly relevant to the New York dating scene.”

“Bold, darkly funny, and unexpectedly tender. A funny, poignant hour that leaves its audience pondering not only these two characters, but the mysterious machinery of desire itself.”
