In the 1950s, the Lower East Side was one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the city. In TENEMENTS LIKE 103 ORCHARD, different holidays unfolded behind every neighbor’s door.In this program, visit the Epstein apartment to learn about Hanukkah, the festival of lights, and then visit the Saez apartment to learn about Christmas traditions for this Puerto Rican family.
