Fornino Hosts the World Cares Center’s Annual Iron Skillet Cook Off

Fornino at Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 6 will host the World Cares Center’s Annual Iron Skillet Cook Off. The virtual event will take place on October 26th at 6pm. The World Cares Center was founded during the 9/11 relief effort by Spontaneous Unaffiliated Community Volunteers (SUCVs) in NYC, who experienced both the positive energy and contributions citizens made to their own communities recovery and also the challenges of integrating community volunteers and leaders into response systems that would thereby reduce confusion and the secondary harm that comes from disaster volunteering. Support this worthy cause and watch five New York City Firefighters square off in the hottest cooking competition around.
