St. Luke's is an Episcopal Church, part of the world-wide Anglican Communion, and grounded in the rich Anglo-Catholic liturgical and musical tradition. We believe that as members of the Body of Christ, we are called to ministries of worship, formation, hospitality and witness. In the 19th century, St. Luke's was a center of the Catholic renewal and the Oxford Movement. The parish became the first in the city to offer daily services of the Divine Office and a weekly Sunday Eucharist. The Eucharist remains at the heart of our life at St. Luke's. The Holy Eucharist (also referred to as Holy Communion, the Lord's Supper, or Mass) is at the heart of our worship life. All baptized Christians are welcome to come forward to receive the consecrated Bread and Wine at every Eucharistic celebration at St. Luke's. Our service leaflets are user-friendly, and we make every effort to make newcomers and visitors feel welcome and involved. On Sundays, childcare is provided for children six and under.
