Parent and Family Coaching - Relationship Counseling - Parent Education Workshops, Group Support, Presentations, Staff Development, School Programs for Students (K-12) Parent and Family Coaching is a personalized support and educational service offered to mothers, fathers and their children (when appropriate). We work together in the comfort and convenience of your home or by phone (video conference also available). Together, we'll address and resolve your unique challenges, issues and concerns related to parenting, family dynamics and relationships. This includes: strategies for creating a 'partnership in parenting,' nurturing sibling relationships, positive discipline, alternatives for punishment, effective communication, active listening, problem-solving skills, developing social/emotional intelligence and self-regulation, understanding your child's changing stages of development, self-care and personal growth. Interactive group support, workshops and presentations designed to educate and empower parents, caregivers and child care professionals. Venues include: libraries, community centers, schools, health care and wellness centers, corporate workplace and private homes. Topics for discussions may include, but are not limited to: stages of growth and development, underlying reasons for behavior, positive discipline, alternatives to punishment, active listening, communication skills, conflict resolution and prevention strategies, nurturing healthy family relationships, dealing with outside influences, peer pressure, bullying, technology and social media, life skills, self-empowerment and self-esteem building, leadership skills and social/emotional intelligence. Staff development and student programs for children of all ages can be designed to meet the specific needs of any community. Available upon request.
