The Lincoln Center Theater is holding their spring Gala with a staged concert performance of Man of La Mancha starring internationally acclaimed tenor Rolando Villazn as Cervantes / Don Quxiote. Based on the book by Dale Wasserman, Man of La Mancha is a play within a play that tells the story of writer and prisoner Miguel de Cervantes who persuades his fellow inmates to perform his manuscript in a bid to avoid feeling their wrath. How far can fantasy go to overcome the harshness of reality?
