Michael DeVaul is a 31-year veteran of the YMCA and his current role is Chief Community Impact Officer. Michael began his career at the McGaw YMCA in Evanston, Illinois where he served for just over 15 years before joining the YMCA of Greater Charlotte in 1999. He considers himself and a Husband and Father first, a social entrepreneur is committed to impact and paying his privileges forward. Michael was recognized by a number of organizations but most recently honored as a Champion or Change by the White House in 2014 for his efforts in community building, diversity, inclusion and global work across the greater Charlotte community.
Josh Jacobson brings deep experience in organizational development and change management to his leadership of Next Stage Consulting, a strategy and implementation firm based in Charlotte, NC and serving nonprofit organizations and social cause start-ups throughout the Carolinas. Next Stage Consulting provides organizations access to affordable, high-quality consulting services to help them “get to the next level.”
Mary Gallivan is the Vice President and Director, Centers for Giving for Foundation For The Carolinas. Located in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Foundation is dedicated to inspiring philanthropy and strengthening the region through innovative community initiatives and quality services to donors and constituents. Managing assets, owned and represented, of approximately $2 billion, the Foundation holds over 3000 charitable funds and ranks as the 8th largest community foundation in the United States. In her role, Mary oversees business development and relationship management for the Foundation’s three Centers: Corporate Philanthropy, Personal Philanthropy and Nonprofit Sustainability.
