Malcom Graham is a former North Carolina State Senator and former Charlotte City Council Member, dedicated public servant and powerful public speaker and media commentator.
Tom Hanchett has become this city’s foremost “history ambassador." He recently retired as Levine Museum of the New South's Staff Historian, but he continues to consult with the museum and does community history tours and presentations. He was a 2015 Charlottean of the Year and is author of "Sorting Out the New South City: Race, Class & Urban Development in Charlotte."
Rory E. Riley- Topping is a political consultant and veterans advocate in Charlotte, NC. Prior to relocating to Charlotte, she worked in all three branches of government and for a national non-profit in Washington, D.C. She is also an opinion contributor for The Hill, a D.C. based political newspaper.
Richard. A. Vinroot is a Republican political figure and attorney from Charlotte who served as the 52nd Mayor of Charlotte from 1991-1995. He was awarded the Bronze Star for service in Vietnam.

GREG LACOUR has been a contributing editor for Charlotte for four years, writing primarily about local and state politics. He’s also contributed reporting and writing to The Washington Post; Reuters; The Nation, Our State, OnEarth, Next City, and Distinction magazines; and contributed radio stories to WFAE-FM in Charlotte.
