Blue Ash/Montgomery Symphony Orchestra

Northeastern Hamilton County’s leading professional orchestra. Michael Chertock, the distinguished keyboardist for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, has been our Artistic Director and conductor since 2003. Our musicians are professionals and are paid union scale. The Orchestra has anywhere from 30 to 55 members, depending on the performance. We have collaborated with the Blue Ash Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Cincinnati Choral Society, the Cincinnati Boychoir, and the Cincinnati Brass Band. The Orchestra gave its first performance on July 5th, 1987 as the Blue Ash Symphony, under the direction of Paul Stanbery. It presented concerts on Memorial Day, Labor Day and the first Sunday of December. The city of Montgomery became a co-sponsor in 2002, engaging the Orchestra to perform additional shows on July 3rd and the second Sunday in February.
