WHO THIS EVENT IS FOR:**Ages 5-12. Adult caregivers are required to
accompany child participants.
ALLERGY NOTE: We will be making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
during this event.
WHAT WE’LL BE DOING:
At this event, children will learn about hunger in our community
through an interactive hunger experiment. The activity, along with
discussion, will bring to life the issue of food insecurity. To take
action in addressing the issue, children will be invited to make sack
lunches for The Open Shelter, which distributes between 150-200 sack
lunches each day to hungry and homeless individuals in our community.
Families will decorate an uplifting note to include in the bags,
make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and assemble the sack lunches
with additional food items.

WHY YOU'LL BE ASKED TO PAY A SUPPLY FEE AND DONATE:
On the next page you'll be asked to pay a fee to offset supply costs
for this event. These fees are non-refundable. If you have to cancel
your registration later, please know that your fee will go toward our
efforts to create more meaningful service-focused programs for
Columbus-area kids.
You'll also be invited to make a tax-deductible donation to Seeds of
Caring. Every time we're able to design, coordinate, and offer an
opportunity for kids to give back, it's because we have the support of
families like yours. Please consider making a generous gift to help us
continue to empower kids to create a kinder community with their
hearts, hands, and minds.
