LESSONS LEARNED IS A COLLECTION OF ONE-act plays written and performed entirely by our members exploring how to navigate time, truth, and justice in today’s world.The Last Day On Earth Written by Young Artist Ensemble Member Ka’Miaya Darwin Directed By Dominique Brigs The Last Day On Earth follows a young girl named Jayla as she explores how we use our time when it feels like it is running out, embracing love, forgiveness, and connection over panic. Bows & Ties Written by Young Artist Ensemble Member Emory Drain Directed by Hallie Donner Bows & Ties is about a young fashion designer, Naveah, as she grapples with the injustices the LGBT community face while finding her voice to stand up for her community and beliefs. Gone Before Me Written by Teen Ensemble Member Cayah Leavy Directed by Karla Payne Gone Before Me blurs the lines between the real and the imagined as Elise tries to discern truth from the illusions, all while uncovering buried fears, self-doubt, and unresolved pain. This dynamic cast of ATC performers delivers powerful stories that reflect honest truths and the lessons shaping the next generation.
