Book Launch, Reading, & Reception for Rowing with Either Oar and Stranger in Parodies with Tom Schmidt

The public is invited to a double book LAUNCH ON SUNDAY, 23 March, 11 a.m. at the Parish Hall of the Old Meeting House. Come for a short READING, refreshments, and signed copies of two new collections of poetry by local author Tom SCHMIDT: ROWING WITH EITHER OAR (Solum Literary Press, Nov 2024) and STRANGER IN PARODIES (Kelsay Books, Feb 2025). A multiple award-winning teacher and writer, Tom earned a PhD from Cambridge University and taught humanities for thirty-four years. Among his publications are four books of poetry, two novels, eight books on religion, and a bicentennial history of the Old Meeting House. In addition to writing, Tom is an avid woodworker, chicken tender, sap tapper, baseball fan, and grandfather.
