Strategic planning is a way to effect immediate change to an organization. Participants of this educational workshop will learn about the fundamentals of the strategic planning process and how to develop measurable business goals, track the results, and implement the plan.
The one-day workshop includes three sessions, which are facilitated by organizational development and strategic planning experts, who currently consult with top executives to develop and an effective strategic plan. The workshop offers participants a useful blend of theory and practice.

SESSION ONE: Fundamentals of Strategic Planning
This session reviews the concepts of strategic planning, how to develop a sustainable competitive advantage for an organization and implementation. Other topics include:
SESSION TWO: Balancing Long-term and Short-term Strategy
This session includes an interactive exercise that presents a rich opportunity to observe, analyze, and critique intra-group dynamics and strategic decision-making skills. During the exercise, participants will experience the challenge of balancing long-term and short-term strategy while studying how leaders behave in strategic situations, negotiate, analyze the competition, and process information coming from external sources. In short, participants are challenged as leaders, and the simulation will test everyones critical thinking acumen.
SESSION THREE: Creating the Strategic Plan
The final session combines proven-by-practice methods of developing a strategic plan. Participants will gain a broader perspective of the strategic planning process through breakout sessions, exercises, and case applications. Other topics reviewed include:
