Giving Voice to Jazz Greats: Barry Warren & Scotty Wright

For the last 30 years, Bay Area jazz vocalist BARRY WARREN HAS BEEN CRAFTING SOPHISTICATED LYRICS TO MUSIC BY SUCH JAZZ GREATS SUCH AS BILLY STRAYHORN, Charlie Parker, Gerry Mulligan and Bill Evans. Internationally-acclaimed jazz vocalist Scotty Wright has performed Barry’s songs all over the world, from Bangkok to Dubai to the Monterey Jazz Festival. Tonight Scotty and Barry will sing a diverse selection of classic instrumental jazz songs that feature Barry’s lyrics. They will be backed by the exciting Benny Watson Trio (Benny Watson, piano; Carla Kaufman, bass & Bob Blankenship, drums). Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Children under 12 are free. Advance tickets are available at the link below, or you may purchase your tickets at the door the night of the show. Doors open one half hour before show time. We accept cash only at the door (ATMs are nearby).  The Back Room is an all-ages, BYOB (for those 21+) space, dedicated to (mostly) acoustic music of all kinds.
